Taken in January of 1984 the first Pro-shot of RELLIK .

RELLIK's first show! They had no idea that the opening band for VOYAGE didn't show up untill they were asked to open for them! RELLIK was in the audiance and was asked to play. RELLIK played six songs and was asked back a month later. NOTICE the "STREET CLOTHES"!

In early 1983, singer Q.T. (formerly of "STRUTTER") approached guitarist Kip Brockett about forming a band. That single conversation sparked a ripple that influenced and changed the life and direction of a Rock and Roll movement in the Mid-South.

Kip would hook up with bassist/friend Ty(Rawls)Roxx, and start a search for a drummer. A few were considered, but it just wasn't what they were looking for...not yet, anyway.

And here is how the story goes.......

In May of 1983, while Q.T. worked in Kansas City Missouri, Kip and Ty saw Wain Snyder playing in a band in Arkansas. It would be months later that Ty would run into Wain at a local record store (both were skipping college classes) and Wain was invited to Missouri to jam with the two. "I remember asking Kip if it was okay to leave my drums over night, and get them tomorrow, and he replied","dude were jamming again tomorrow night!" I thank Mike Gilby for that. He was their guitarist in their last band and he actually wanted me to jam with him, but he was cool and told them that we had a vibe and, "they should go with Wain!"

A month later while rehearsing with Q.T. the band wrote such classics as "Never Tomorrow" and "Night flier" and that seemed to sealed the deal!

"The funniest thing was the time I first met Q.T., he thought that my friend was the new drummer and I was just there to party! I mean I was a real geek-oid! You should have seen the look on his face when I started to get behind the drums!" remembers Wain. "But within a few seconds he knew that we were on to somthing big"!

The First Rehearsals and the BIBLE BOOK STORE.

Rellik rehearsed for the first few months in the game room at Kip's parents house. After the band aquired a real P.A. system, it was time for the band to find a more suitable rehearsal room. This came by way of the BIBLE BOOK STORE building in down-town Hayti Mo, just off the square.

There the band wrote classics like Easy Grind, Nailed, Lost and worked on covers form OZZY, KISS, UFO, RATT, Judas Priest and many more for an upcoming self- booked third gig, with complete stage show and a five kegger party. And a Party it was.

Shows, the Studio and a Tour of the East Coast!

In 1984, RELLIK went from playing small clubs (the Cassinova in Caruthersville Mo.) to an assalt on the East Coast that lasted nearly six months.

Before the band went to the East Coast, they recorded a five song demo tape At Back Yard Studio in Sikeston Mo. The tape included Never Tomorrow, Night Flier, Lost, Easy Grind, and Nailed.

Once on the Coast Rellik played any place they could while picking up a battle of the bands award along the way!
